Phtalo Blue is an essential shade for watercolorists, known for its vibrant intensity, transparency, and great versatility. This synthetic pigment was introduced in the 1930s, revolutionizing the fine arts with its unique properties and exceptional durability. Its richness and transparency make it an ideal choice for complex mixes and subtle effects.

When mixed with any yellow, it creates vibrant greens perfect for foliage or landscapes. With Isaro Rose, Magenta, or Dark Pyrrole Red, it produces deep, rich purples. When combined with Burnt Umber, you achieve neutral blue-grey tones, ideal for stormy skies or delicate shadows. Mix it with Phtalo Green to create beautiful turquoise hues.
