Nickel Yellow appeared in the early 20th century thanks to advancements in pigment chemistry. Derived from nickel-based compounds, it quickly gained popularity for its luminosity and stability, becoming an interesting choice for artists. This pigment boasts excellent permanence.
When mixed with a blue like ultramarine, it creates natural greens, ideal for foliage. Combine it with burnt sienna or English red to create skin tones. Mix it with Isaro pink for oranges and floral shades. With Payne's grey, it adds a luminous touch to atmospheric tones.
