Raw umber is a traditional earthy pigment with a deep brown tone and a slight greenish cast. Very stable, non-toxic, and with good covering power, it is ideal for soft shadows, underpainting, landscapes, and textured effects.

Its low saturation allows for subtle color modulation without overpowering mixes. It blends easily with blues, reds, or ochres to create natural, balanced tones. An essential for creating calm, harmonious compositions.
