Iron Oxide purple is an earthy violet shade with dark undertones.

Mix it with Cobalt Blue or Cerulean Blue to achieve rich purples and deep grays, perfect for cloudy skies or shadows. Combine it with Yellow Ochre for earthy tones, ideal for landscapes or natural textures. When paired with Lamp Black, it creates very dark browns, perfect as a contrast tone.
Blend it with lighter shades such as Isaro Rose or Isaro Mauve for delicate floral tones or subtle washes.

Iron Oxide purple is an exceptionally stable and lightfast pigment.

This versatile pigment is equally suited to abstract compositions and naturalistic scenes.
